I am about 2.5 hours from New Orleans. And we have an awesome Mardi Gras here. It is soooo crowded in New Orleans and so we never go for Mardi Gras. But we talked about renting a room with a balcony on Bourbon Street one year. Just us. No one else. I think it would be okay  then. It is really super dangerous to just walk around on the streets.
BTW>>> I got hit in the face with a pack of beads today and it hurt like a friggin' bitch. You gotta watch that crap....lol... I had fun anyway though....Hurricanes and Parades whoo hoo!!
PS KRISTEN--- I have been to Mardi Gras in Soulard A few times cause I used to live there....Good Times, Good Times!! Hope you had fun!!!

OMG YES! New Orleans is where the creepers hang out Grin
Except for you Mandi ;] I love it there, though...I wish Minnesota celebrated like that...although, we do have the Apple River parties in Wisconsin Cheesy
